This Christian walk is not easy, and there are many times when we go through something and cannot make sense out of why God had us go through it.  I was ministering to someone the other day who has been going through a very difficult situation at work with a coworker and feels like they are not growing or not seeing anything good in it, but they are just going crazy.  I have to confess I do not have all the answers.  There are things I have gone through that I am still trying to figure out, and I know I have many areas of growth.  I know from my past experiences, there are times when God is doing a work, and there is not much we can do about it, and sometimes the very thing God is working on is our attitude in the midst of the hardship.  When we go through hardships and we become resentful and angry towards God, it may be that very part of us that causes us to resent God that He is dealing with.  I have heard it illustrated as a rose that if you throw it to the ground and crush it with your foot, a sweet aroma comes out, and sticks to your shoe.  If we are crushed, what comes out?  Is it a love and surrender towards God?  Is it anger and resentment demanding your rights to not have to go through those things?

2 Corinthians 4:17

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Remember our lives are but a vapor, and it is a very short time to become changed into the kind of person God would have us be entering heaven.
